Neuer Kunde - CH7467 + Glasfaser

Hi everyone,

First, sorry to write in English, my German is not so good yet.

I ordered from Pyur Pure Speed 200 with the cable modem CH7467CE. I received the router in less than 5 days and did the proper connection.
After the configuration the Downstream LED keeps blinking and that's it, no internet. I have contacted Pyur and they tried to send new signal, but no luck. Next step should be a technician to check the connection.

I was checking the connection in my apartment, and I noticed I have this glass fiber bridging-type ONT Huawei EchoLife HG8012H. It outputs the connection for TV, I tried to access it with Ethernet, but it seems to be turned off as configuration.

I tried to connect CH7467 directly to HG8012H data output, but without luck.

Does anyone know if the ONT HG8012H could cause problem with Pyur cable modem? Does Pyur needs the MAC address of the ONT box?
Is there an email I could send those picturesto pyur?

You have an ONT. So, this device change the signal from fiber to an Network output. You have to connect a normal Router there...not the Cable modem, because the Cable modem needs an special signal, which you not get from the ONT box.

So it means that I need router with WAN port?
When I check pyur options they offer this CH7467 and FritzBox 7490, as I see both are cable modens, meaning none will work with my ONT?

I will buy this Fritz Box 7530 and give it a try. Is there any kind of tutorial specifically for pyur configuration?
Do I need to change router MAC address to login in pyur network?

This is in München, relative new building, many neighbors have M-net as internet supplier.

Does M-net offer speeds greater 100 Mbit/s (namely 300 Mbit/s and 1000 Mbit/s, you can check that here: https://www.m-net.de/privatkunden/) at your house? If so, the Huawei ONT likley belongs to M-net not PYUR.

Yes, they do provide up to 1000Mbit/s.

I tried to contract internet from M-net, they sent me one letter on 11.02, and then nothing. I contact them several times for 3 months (!), No response only delay. Then I cancelled it, and signed contract with Pyur.

Now, I cannot get Pyur to work :/

I can only access the ONT box when I remove the fiber connection, but I don't have permission to change many parameters. As soon as I connect the fiber, the LAN(Ethernet) connection from ONT box is closed and does not respond anymore.

No response from Pyur yet regarding this issue.

Then it's very likely that the ONT and the TV connections are provided by M-net. In that case it might be possible that PYUR is not able to service you at all.

I assume you connected the cable modem with the white cable on the bottom right, correct?
Each of the two white cables on the top right should connect to a TV wall outlet in your flat (they look like one of these three: https://www.unitymedia.de/content/dam/u ... fik_01.gif). Do you have two of those in your flat or more?

I do have 2 standard Antennendose at my flat. Those 2 upper white coaxial cables are the output for it.

I tried to connect the cable modem on the Antennendose, and also directly connected to the split as the first picture I posted. Finally I also tried connecting directly to the ONT, with no success.

I thought even though this equipment might be from M-net, I would still have the freedom to choose the provider I want.

4 long months since I don't have internet access at home.

If Pyur cannot provide the service, I think the webpage shouldn't allow me to subscribe... Let's see what Pyur says

Unforunatly it's not that simple.
If your flat/building is not connected to PYUR's network, they are not required to use a connection from any another provider (for example M-net) that has connected your flat. That means that you could be stuck with just one possible provider.

Agreed, although I would not put it past them.
If they send a technician they should spot that kind of error pretty quickly though.

That's good.
If PUYR should cancel your contract you can look at a lot more providers like Telekom, 1&1 or Vodafone (and others) all of which provide services via DSL.

If they are unable to provide their services they are required to cancel the contract.

According to the picture given only M-Net really delivers Internet & cableTV services via the FTTH installation on a GPON-basis (passive fibers based on splitters). The ONT delivers Internet (via an Ethernet RJ45-port), CableTV (via a F-socket) and POTS (via a RJ 11 socket). The POTS cable thus may be connected to a TAE-wall socket.

I know several installations in Munich where M-Net delivers FTTH-services exclusively by covering the initial FTTH installation costs (fibers, ONTs, splitters and so forth) and leases the net to the residents a long-term basis. In this case I can't imagine that M-Net would tolerate a second provider like PYUR which probably would interfere with the business case.

Yes I agree with you, if M-net did all the installation they probably should be the ones to provide the services.

Unfortunately M-net treated me very rudely, I hired the internet before I even moved to the new apartment, I provided all the data and information. The maximum I received was a welcome letter, after 3 long months contacting them every week I decided to cancel the service, and to my surprise I received a farewell letter.

I sent a photo of the installation and additional information to PYUR, I am waiting for the answer. Let's see if it's possible or not.

There is no POTS output on the HG8012H (Ports left to right: Fiber/PON in, Ethernet out, Power in, CATV out).

I would argue that even in that case M-net could not prevent another provider or the owner of the building from installing their own cabling.

Pyur contacted me, there is no problem with the external connection.
Technician should come to my flat and verify on 21.05. Hope they can get it to work.

He said I'm the first client in my building, and there is no cable connection available.

Don't trust Pyur webpage when it says that Internet is available at your address.

Well, now I need to wait a call from Pyur to see what we can do. I will probably cancell it and go for M-net (again, and wait...).

IMHO Pyur will not be able to solve the problem - how should they when there is no free koax cable or fibre available?

I guess you're right - VDSL via TAE should also be possible via Deutsche Telekom - maybe Deutsche Telekom is able to deliver supervectoring-based services (up to 250 MBit/s down, up to 40 MBit/s up) in viniciusro's area.

Just an update.

Pyur never contacted me. I called then one time, and they said the Technician should update the system mentioning that there is no cable available(should take 24h ). Then I could cancel it.

One week later, still any kind of update. Called again, and they said Technician never updated my case, and now I see Kabelfernsehen Muenchen Servicenter GmbH is going to charge me 58.55 EUR and I have no idea why...
